I've been with many kids when they've caught their first fish. Taking children fishing is a special, memory-making experience. Lest anyone doubt this, here's a sequence of photos showing my grandson Kenny catching his first ever trophy citation rock (striped bass) fish. His celebration, along with that of family friend Jimaye Sones tells it all.
We were fishing with Capt. Ryan Rogers aboard his boat "Midnight Sun" in the Chesapeake Bay in 2008. We began taking him along on on spring fishing trips the year before. That's when he caught his first rockfish.
