I know everyone must be wondering how my Boykin boy Jameson is coming along with his retriever training. He still needs work, but he's getting there - at his own pace. Neil Selby at Shady Grove Kennels will likely "run" him in his AKC junior hunting trials in September and early October. The boy will look good with that AKC "sheepskin" and we aim to have it for him by the end of October.

Interesting, I had a reader write to tell me that her son just got a male Boykin and named him "Hendrick's" after his favorite gin. I guess Boykin owners have refined tastes that way.
